Designing Search Strategies for Systematic Reviews
The Clinical Research Institute (CRI) at the American University of Beirut Medical Center invites you to take part in their upcoming workshop: Designing Search Strategies for Systematic Reviews – Oct 21-22, 2016, Location: Lab 206, OSB, AUB.


This one-day workshop aims to develop skills needed for designing and reporting a highly sensitive search strategy for a systematic review. This workshop will include an interactive presentation with live demonstration and hands-on searching. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: · Design a highly sensitive systematic review search strategy using Medline OVID; · Identify suitable resources including grey literature; · Learn how to map this strategy on the different resources; · Understand how to correctly report search strategies in a transparent way. This workshop targets primarily researchers, research assistants, trainees, graduate students, and librarians who want to understand how to conduct effective literature searches for systematic reviews, and for those planning to conduct a systematic review in the future. A registration fee of $300.00 per attendee applies; a discounted fee of $200.00 will be charged for individuals with a valid AUB ID. Places are limited.
